This is the second book in the Bunnicula series. It has the same reader for the audio version as the first one, Victor Garber, you might recognize him from the movie Titanic, he played the famous architect Mr. Andrews.

The Monroe's are going on vacation! That means Bunnicula gets to stay with the neighbor & Chester & Harold have to be boarded at the lovely Chateau Bow Wow. On their first night there Chester gives the establishment the worthy nickname of Howliday Inn after hearing the howl of a werewolf in the middle of the night.

They soon get to meet who they think is the werewolf along with the other interesting guests of Howliday Inn. They include one other cat named Lyle, a poodle named Louise, a dog with a southern accent named Max, a crazy dog named Taxi, & a pair of Dachshunds named Howard & Heather. All the animals are being watched by two caretakers named Harrison & Jill.

Things are going ok until one stormy night Louise & Max go missing. They are followed shortly after by poor Chester the following night. That means it's up to Harold to find out what's going on under the surface of Chateau Bow Wow. But can he user his best detective skills & Chester's clues to find the perpetrator before it's too late?

Likes: This book wasn't quite as funny as the first one but it was still good.

It was fun to see more of Harold & Chester along with some other new friends instead of just Bunnicula.

I didn't know who the bad guy was until the very end. It was a refreshing change, usually especially with kids books I know right away & the story isn't as entertaining.

The audio reader was the same as the first & he is pretty good with voices.
