This is the final book in The 100 series. I have to say that overall I really enjoyed this series. I started reading it because I was watching the show & for the first 2 seasons I really liked it. But in season 3 it took a weird turn & I haven't picked it up since. I might go back to it now that I'm done with the books but we'll wait & see.

In this end to our story that started in space & ended up on Earth we see a happy ending from the struggle the 100 & the Colonists have faced.

The new council has been appointed after Vice Chancellor Rhodes steps down. The whole camp of Earthborns & Colonists has come together to celebrate peace. But that peace is interrupted...a large group of men in all white with guns sets off bombs in the camp, taking prisoners & disappearing into the woods.

This group calls themselves Protectors & they are enslaved to a High Protector named Soren who worships the Earth. They break into other camps & steal all the goods they can find then take all the young women & men back to their fortress they call the Stone. The goal is for the newly captured recruits to become one of them if Earth wills it & complete this transition into their group through a ritual called the Pairing Ceremony (YES it sounds as bad as you think it is).

When the Protectors raid the camp Wells, Octavia, Glass, Graham & others are taken. Bellamy, Clarke, Luke, & a few others are left behind or hide to protect themselves. This means that they are available to try & get the others back by whatever means necessary. After trying to make peace with the Protectors they can see peace isn't an option & it culminates with a big bang & a fight to the death.

Along the way Graham sacrifices himself so the others can get safely back home, Clarke & Bellamy are at odds, Glass becomes Soren's personal maid & learns about their way of life & history, & we learn that Octavia is a lesbian.

The story ends with both groups & their new friends making it back to camp t rebuild & start their new life on Earth. Bellamy also proposes to Clarke which is good after they are fighting for most of the book.

Likes: I'm happy Clarke & Bellamy get a happy ending finally!

Not having to endure reading about the Paring Ceremony happening was a relieve

The Colonists & Earthborns overcoming hopefully their last enemy will make their lives better

I think 4 books was a good number for this series

The books were very different from the show from start to finish

Dislikes:-
