This is book #2 in the Magical Baking series. It was also our Cook the Books selection for this month. We are planning on reading #3 in March.
I liked this one about as much as the first. The main character Katie seems to be getting her witchy stuff down. She had some drama between her boyfriends, Declan & Steve. Steve is a witch like her & Declan is a hot firefighter. I personally think she should choose Declan but she may not...we'll see. This story was slightly weird, it took place on/around Halloween & there was a secret society, an evil dark witch, & a plot to unleash a monster called Zesh into the world that Katie & the rest of the coven had to help prevent.
The rest of the book club members seemed to like it & the recipe we enjoyed was the biscotti & it was delicious! I'll include it below. I'm interested in continuing this series over the next few months.
